Within 24 hours on working days, and usually sooner. Messages sent at weekends or on Chinese public holidays are answered on the next working day. If a drawing needs clarification we send one consolidated set of questions rather than a string of emails.

Yes. Every quote, and the DFM review that comes with it, is free and carries no obligation to order. Ask for price breaks at the quantities you care about, for example 1, 10, 50 and 250 pieces, and they are all priced in the same free quote.

Contact us anyway. A dimensioned sketch is enough for a budget price, and a physical sample can be reverse-engineered on the CMM to create a model and a drawing. We confirm the measured dimensions with you before a production quote is fixed.

Yes, on request and before you send anything. Contact us with your company’s NDA or ask for ours. Drawings stay on our own servers and are only used to quote and make your parts.

Yes. Video consultations can be scheduled through WhatsApp to review drawings together, talk through tolerances or walk through a DFM comment. Tell us your time zone and we will propose a slot inside or close to our working hours.

No. We quote single prototypes and production runs of 100,000+ pieces from the same drawing, with the same inspection and documentation at every quantity. Unit price falls fastest over the first 50 pieces, because setup and programming are shared across the batch.

STEP (.step, .stp) or IGES for 3D geometry, plus a PDF or DWG drawing that carries tolerances, thread callouts, surface finish and material. SolidWorks, Parasolid and STL files are accepted too. Without a drawing, parts are machined to ISO 2768-m general tolerances.

Yes. Email your files to jy.liu@metalworksplus.com, or send a download link if they exceed your mail limit. Put the quantity, material and finish in the message so the engineer can quote without having to contact you first.

Yes. Laser cutting, bending, welding and finishing are quoted alongside CNC machining, so an assembly that mixes machined and fabricated parts can come from one supplier in one shipment.

Yes. Repeat orders reuse the proven program, fixtures and inspection plan, so they are quoted quickly and usually run faster than the first batch. Contact us with the part number or the previous order reference.

Yes. Drawing reviews, quotes, inspection reports and project updates are all handled in English for overseas customers, and our team also works in Chinese for suppliers and local partners.

Yes. Send the drawing and we route it to the right process, whether milling, turning, Swiss, multi-axis, EDM or laser cutting. The process links above explain each option if you prefer to read first.

Yes, but add a drawing if you can. A 3D model gives geometry but no tolerance intent, so a model-only quote assumes ISO 2768-m general tolerances. If some features need tighter limits, mark them on a PDF or list them in your message so the quote reflects the real requirement.

Yes. Prototypes typically ship in 3–5 business days after drawing approval, with a 48-hour express route for simple geometries. Mention the date you need the parts when you contact us and the quote will say whether it can be met.

70+ grades, including aluminium 6061 and 7075, stainless steels, tool and alloy steels, titanium, Inconel, brass, copper and engineering plastics such as PEEK, POM and PTFE. If your grade is unusual, name it in the request and we confirm availability with the quote.

Yes. Anodising, passivation, plating, bead blasting and other finishes are priced in the same quote, along with any documents you need, such as material certificates to EN 10204 3.1, CMM reports or a first article report to AS9102.

It does not ship. Non-conforming parts are quarantined and recorded, and you are told before anything leaves the factory. We agree the fix with you, whether a remake or a documented deviation, and the corrective action is checked on the next batch.

An engineer stays your point of contact through first article and production, so the person answering your questions knows the part and its drawing, from the first quote to delivery.

Yes. There is no minimum order and no account to open, so startups, research teams and individual engineers can order single prototypes on the same terms as large OEMs.

Send the overall size, material, quantity, the tightest tolerance and the finish, plus a photo or sketch if you have one. That is enough for a budget price, and the firm quote follows once the drawing can be shared under NDA.
