What Is EDM?
Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) is an advanced manufacturing process that removes material from electrically conductive workpieces using controlled electrical discharges (sparks). Unlike conventional cutting, EDM does not rely on mechanical force, allowing precise machining of extremely hard materials, intricate shapes, fine cavities, and complex geometries. EDM is commonly used in aerospace, automotive, mold making, tool and die, and medical industries where precision, surface quality, and tight tolerances are critical.
